French Alps Chalet

Located in the central floor of a private chalet in the French Alps, this four-sided guillotine
fireplace was engineered to harmonize with the scale and elegance of the space, designed to host up to 50 guests in its open-plan dining and living area. The system features two motorized lifts, operating opposite glass panels, while the remaining two sides are fixed and equipped with hinged openings. A massive natural stone block forms the base, providing strong visual weight and structural stability. The flue hood is a custom architectural piece, designed by the project’s lead architect to blend with the chalet’s monumental interior design.
